Accutane is not expected to cause too many side effects, especially once your body adjusts to the dose prescribed. While taking
Accutane you may experience some of the following side effects that do not need to be reported to your health care provider unless they get particularly bothersome and start to interfere with your everyday activities: increased light sensitivity, itching, dry skin, peeling skin, thinning hair, red eyes, muscle pain, vision problems, nosebleeds, dry eyes, and bleeding gums. Some other side effects you may experience are more serious and need to be reported to your health care provider as soon as possible to prevent them from getting worse. Make sure you stop taking Accutane and talk to your doctor immediately if you get any of the following serious side effects: severe stomach pain, lack of appetite, depression, headaches, vomiting, blurred vision, diarrhea, dark yellow urine, unusual tiredness, or nausea. As every person’s reaction may be quite individual, other side effects are also possible. Depending on their severity, you need to either report them to your doctor or wait for them to go away on their own.
